Literary Studies: Spaces of Interdisciplinarity

Abstract
The conception of the literary as the result of historical processes and social conventions of reading has gained strength over the last ten years, disrupting traditional forms of knowledge concerning literature. In research, therefore, a cultural-semiotic approach, supported by a diversity of theoretical proposals, has become necessary. Within this framework, three issues are outlined: the ontological, the epistemological, and the lecturological, corresponding, respectively, to the object of literary studies, the theories that have addressed it, and reading praxis.
The aim of this paper is to develop these three levels and to reflect on the possibilities that emerge when literary textuality is considered in relation to other cultural texts.
