Creative Teaching to Foster Creative Learning

Abstract

The aim of this article is to identify the types of teaching and learning that make it possible to acquire creative skills for problem solving in the exact and natural sciences. An educational experience involving university professors who completed their teacher training through a master’s degree or a specialization in science education will be analyzed.

The variables considered will be the expectations and aspirations of those currently attending the graduate program and of those students who have already submitted their final thesis. The topic itself is particularly promising in terms of meaningful learning outcomes, which will be reflected in new educational practices and in a new attitude toward science as a way of fostering personal and community development and of guaranteeing greater social equality through access to resources that allow for a better quality of life for more individuals.
