Abstract
Contributions of philosophy to children’s teaching and learning in EGB and Polimodal.
The educational reform and its implementation through the Federal Law of Education extended the teaching of Philosophy in the current curricula, previously restricted to High School Diploma, with somewhat more attention in the teaching-oriented High School Diploma and absolutely ignored in commercial and industrial schools.
In the National CBC stated for all the argentine educational system, an extensive space is devoted to philosophical knowledge not only through the curricular space of ethical and citizen training already present in the EGB up to the culmination of High School, but also the philosophical studies and its problems included in the Polimodal together with the contributions through the EDI
Within this panorama, an improvement in the teaching of philosophy in high school was expected; however, it is suspected that the teaching of Philosophy still suffers from the same difficulties and drawbacks of High School teaching in general, which result in lack of adequate preparation for university studies, for entering the labor market and for life in general.
At present, a general increased interest in the teaching of this discipline is evidenced in the EGB, very especially in Tucumán through the programme “philosophy with children”, their participation in workshops and working days with adolescents.
An experience carried out in our province shows this tendency with encouraging results.
The aim of this work is to analyze the concepts, strategies and procedures of the teaching of philosophy for/with children, that could be effective for the teaching and learning of Philosophy in the EGB and Polimodal own spaces of our educational system. In order to do this we will refer to theoretical contributions done by specialists and some relevant experiences.
