ROCK ART OF RINCÓN CHICO 2/87 SITE (PCIA. DEL NEUQUÉN, ARGENTINA

This report has as object to present in detail the rock art of Rincón Chico 2/87 site (Pcia. del Neuquén, Argentina), relieved in the framework of an archaeological rescue project in the Piedra del Águila dam area. A cliff with representations and an adjacent surface, of eolic accumulation, that was presenting aboriginal occupation evidence, composed the site. Currently it is found deluged.
At the same time, this work forms part of a most vast project that envisages the preservation of the graph documentation and the utilization of electronic means of data storage. It is planned to generate a digitized record of the art-bearing sites of the research area (which is included in the Limay River basin), what will permit the adequate preservation of the data, easier access to the information and the accomplishment of reconstruction and publication reports.
