TERRACES PAST AND PRESENT A CONTRIBUTION TO LA RIOJA ETHNOARCHEOLOGY

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present an ethnoarcheological analysis of the prehispanic agricultural techniques compared to a present rural community of La Rioja. Through ethnoarcheology, the study of the material culture of the present peoples as a means to get to know the indigenous agricultural technologies, we can have an approximation to archeological knowledge. The conclussion is partial
due to the fact that the present experiment is at a preliminary level, but it highlights the importance of this methodology for the formulation of the corresponding hypothesis.
