Processes of innovation and improvement in teaching quality at the University of Málaga
Main Article Content
Abstract
We understand professional development as something more than a plan for continuing education, although the latter is a determining factor in professional development. Likewise, we believe that responsibility for continuing education at the university does not belong exclusively to any particular sector but to the university as a whole, with each area contributing its own potential and richness to the training project, such as departments, Institutes of Education Sciences, quality units, and teaching staff offices.
Having said this, the purpose of this article is only to present, in broad terms, the actions carried out by the Institute of Education Sciences of the University of Málaga in its work to support the professional development of university teaching staff. Therefore, everything stated here about professional development should be understood from this perspective, that is, from the standpoint of a university center or institute devoted to continuing education.
