Rationality, Reasonableness, Responsibility… and Then What?

Abstract
Our philosophical reason has traveled a long way through its different vicissitudes. In this work, we try to show the complicity of a certain kind of instrumental rationality with the globalized neocapitalist system: a system that, among its disastrous consequences, has led to the worst crisis of civilization since civilization itself is put in danger: the ecological problem.
We also try to sketch a brief outline of the extent to which philosophy has dealt with this subject and to adopt a genealogical methodological position that may be useful for dismantling those discourses that have legitimated the state of affairs we present.
