(The darkness of/in our time)

Abstract

The writing intends to share, in essay form, a set of philosophical reflections emanating from the commitment to bring to the scene that tragic air that we breathe, impregnated by countless particles of suffering and injustice, which seem to multiply with the passing of the days. Along with this, a thick veil of indifference and insensitivity that covers them is also increasingly perceived. But it is still possible to find restless subjectivities and collective resistance movements that work to change the bad side of what exists. From there, a search movement is imposed that leads us to this adventure of problematizing and problematizing ourselves by the course of the world in which we are immersed and feeling questioned by it. Blanchot (2008) points out that the question of our time is always pressing; it surrounds us, it comes from us, it points to us, and it itself forms part of time. By being trapped in the passage of time, it always remains open to new problems and forces us to start asking questions anew. It is an interrogation that continues incessantly because the criticality that it puts into action prevents the closure of any thought about itself, but, at the same time, it is urgent to risk an understanding of our historical materiality.
