Abstract

Poverty problem can be tackled from different reality planes (socioeconomical, cultural, educational, etc.) and trough these studies we know about the phenomenon dimension, the group magnitude and about the affected social groups, about family and social fractures that are produced, and about the cultural distances that it generates.

In this paper we propone to reflect about the sence the school has during an adolescent lifetime in an urban poverty context. Our purpose is to make certain traits visible, these traits intertwine in subjectivity construction.

The approach to the study was carried out from an ethnographic focus, the interviews that were used allowed us to discover the biographic itinerary of the adolescent´s school trajectory.
