About the notion in Davidson's ‘conceptual scheme’

Abstract
A problem that cannot be avoided in most of the problems related to epistemology and semantics is that of relativism. Through spontaneous observation we verify the existence of different social and cultural groups, that possess their particular way of believing and thinking about different empirical, moral, cognitive matters, etc. A relativist philosopher, faced with this panorama, intends to give a satisfactory explanation, arguing that these groups live in “different worlds”. And these different worlds are the result of the different classificatory conceptual schemes that are used by social groups.
The structure of the work proposes to analyze Davidson’s essay: “On the very idea of a conceptual scheme” as follows: first, to make conceptual clarifications of the term “relativism”, second, to determine degrees of conceptual relativism; and third, to explain typical patterns of how language, thought, and reality can be combined. And finally, to work on Davidson’s essay on the basis of Rabossi’s article and Kuhn’s chapter. From all this, we shall develop some thoughts that emerged from the reading of these texts.
